Community Centers, Inc. was founded in
1976 to provide specialized services for
hard to serve youth. Because youth
problems are intertwined within family
units, the Center gradually expanded the
scope of services. In 1991 the Center filed
the more descriptive corporate name of
Community Centers, Inc. Additional DBA’s
operate under the name of the community
or population served. At present, people of
all ages are served through some program
components.
The Center’s purpose is to aid individuals in
becoming self supporting contributing
members of society. Counseling,
employment, immigration, educational
training, ongoing support and referral
services make up the multi-dimensional
approach which has proven successful
over time.
Besides operating as a community based
organization, the Center is also part of an
expanding network of other agencies and
businesses cooperating to bring more
efficient and effective services to the
Greater Los Angeles Area. The Center is
proud of its leadership role and
achievements.
